Anti-Inflammatory Nutrient Dense Clean Eating
The majority of the clients I have worked with over the last 6 years have come to me with a chronic illness of some kind…An Auto-Immune disease such as Hashimoto’s or Lupus, digestive issues such as IBS or Crohn’s, reproductive challenges such as Infertility or PCOS, Type 2 diabetes, are overweight, have heart disease or just want to become healthier and get off their meds.
The one common denominator with ALL of these health challenges is chronic inflammation, and what we eat plays a LARGE part in that.
The very first thing to address to head in the right direction is what is being allowed into the body. I call it “clearing the muddy waters”. This means recognizing and cutting back on the most inflammatory foods and instead focusing on how many diverse nutrients we can put INTO the body. Nutrients feed our hormones and neurotransmitters and give every cell in our bodies’ energy and LIFE!
Ultra-processed food with mile long ingredient lists just confuse our bodies, mess with our hormones, and set us back in every area of health. If you don’t recognize an ingredient, your body won’t either (and will just throw it in a fat cell)! Despite the clever marketing out there, these foods DO NOT help your health journey.
THE 3 MOST INFLAMMATORY SUBSTANCES ARE:
· Gluten
· Dairy
· Refined sugar
The goal is to work toward avoiding them 80-85% of the time. This is so much easier with an arsenal of recipes that are anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense, and DELICIOUS! I’m sharing many with you weekly in this group!
This is important:
IT’S NOT ABOUT PERFECTION, IT’S ABOUT WORKING TOWARD EATING THE RIGHT FOODS THAT FUEL OUR BODIES MOST OF THE TIME!
For example, I know that dairy is inflammatory but a few of my recipes use Parmesan cheese, a bit of mozzarella cheese, and a little plain full fat Organic Greek yogurt. I deliberately put them to demonstrate that we don’t need to be hyper-militant to be successful with our health goals.
EATING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY NUTRIENT DENSE FOODS 80-85% OF THE TIME IS WHAT WE ARE WORKING TOWARD AS A SUSTAINABLE LIFE-LONG HABITS!
